About Me

My name is Rebecca Tyne.

I am a graduating senior at the 175 year old women's Judson College, and I am engaged to marry my best friend Josh in September. I am also the baby of four kids, an English major with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and an equestrian. Let me guess what you are thinking: "Why do you have a nursing degree and still pursue a degree in English? And tell me, can you sing like the Alvin and the Chipmunks?"
Well, the answer to the first question will be explained in this next section; and yes, I can sing like Alvin and the Chipmunks. It is a gloriously useful talent with which I have been blessed.

Firstly, I am a Christian with a passion for sharing the love and hope of the Gospel with the world. So far, this aspect of my life has taken me on mission trips to Europe, Africa, and Central America. When I began college in 2010, my initial goal was to study Journalism. I started down the daunting, book-laden path for a bachelor's in English, but after two mission trips to poverty-stricken villages in Europe and one mission trip to Africa, I realized the need for medical assistance in countries where medical access is not as readily available. I pressed through the two difficult years of nursing and am now studying for the licensure exam. Since I already had a few English classes under my belt, I decided that finishing with a bachelor's degree was wise, and now I am, as my fiancé says, "A Jill of all trades," what with my two degrees and chipmunk-singing talent.

So there is a tidbit about me. I hope these blogs touch your heart.

Blessings!
